Financial Options for Purchasing a Vehicle
Buying a vehicle or any high performance cars is a big step in many individuals’ lives. Not only is it a great responsibility to keep the vehicle in good working order but it is a large financial responsibility as well. Prior to purchasing a vehicle, one should look into the financial options which relate to purchasing a car and figure out just how they are going to arrange to pay for the vehicle.
Cash Purchase
One financial option for individuals who are purchasing a car is to make a cash purchase. This is something which may be seen less often than other types of payment arrangements; however, it is one which definitely has its benefits if an individual is able to make the cash purchase. Some of these benefits include owning the car as soon as it leaves the car dealership, no interest payments to worry about and the ability to rest easy knowing that one does not have to make payments each month for the next five years or so. Driving Tips - Prepare For The Road
People love their cars. Most people can’t wait until they’re old enough to go into debt with the purchase of their first car. The car symbolizes independence, adulthood and if you’re a man, it may increase your chances of getting a date. As pathetic as it sounds, men do consider what effects a car can have on their social life. Lots of women think in terms of economics, so a car is as much about perception as anything else. Of course, women might say material things don’t matter, but they really do.
Getting the car may be the easy part; it’s all the other stuff that makes it complicated, like repairs, gas and insurance. A car is a big responsibility. Although people may refer to it as a toy, a car is a two ton piece of machinery that can easily become a weapon, if not handled properly. Many people forget that there’s a public trust that goes with getting behind the wheel. The public assumes that you can drive; they assume that you have the mental aptitude to handle unexpected situations; and above all else, they assume you understand your responsibilities to the other drivers on the road.

The Smart Girls’ Guide to Buying a Car
Buying a new car, or a high performance car that’s new to you, can be a minefield. Women are traditionally vulnerable to con men when buying cars, taking their cars for a service or anything else related to motoring for that matter. Although we’d like to think that times have changed, and in the most part they have, there are still car sales people waiting for an innocent looking female to trot through the door. This applies to men too, so don’t be offended! At CoverGirl Car Insurance we want you to get the best deal, cheap insurance and above all a great car. So, we’ve compiled a concise guide to what can be one of the most expensive purchases you’ll have to make.
The first thing you will need to do is decide whether you want a new or used car. You probably have a make and model in mind already, so it’s best to do as much research into the car as possible. You can look in trade guides and on the internet to get some ideas about the production and engineering of your desired car. If you go to the dealer armed with this information then you will know what to look for and will know about any parts of the car that are particularly expensive to replace. Whilst doing your research you could also look out for any common problems with your car. For example certain vehicles have notoriously bad electrics and you could be left having to pay a large bill to have them repaired.
So what’s the best bet, new or used?

Porsche set to unveil new DSG-style gearbox
Following the huge success of Volkswagen’s DSG dual-clutch gearbox, other manufacturers have been forced to play catch-up and launch their own version of this great technology.
Just last month, it was reported that BMW is set to launch their “M DCT” dual-clutch gearbox in the all new E92 M3 from March next year thus admitting their SMG sequential manual gearbox just wasn’t quite up to scratch.
Now sports car manufacturer Porsche has caught in on the act and is set to unveil the “PDK” (Porsche Doppel Kupplungen) dual-clutch transmission in place of their gimmicky tiptronic gearbox.

9 Ways To Save Money On Car Expenses
Gas prices are at historically high levels and the long term trend is indicating more of the same for American drivers. If you operate one or more vehicles, you know that saving money somewhere, anywhere is important to maintaining your budget. Here are 9 tips to help you be financially wise when it comes to managing your car expenses.
1. Take a look at your insurance. If your car is worth less than three thousand dollars, consider dropping collision. The money you save can go toward a down payment on your next car.
2. Keep your tires properly inflated. Your gas mileage will drop if your tires are underinflated. Keep your tires at the recommended pressure and your gas mileage will remain steady.
3. Do not change your oil too frequently. Unless you drive exclusively in the city you do not need to change your oil every 3000 miles. Most cars can go up to 7500 miles before needing an oil change. You will still need to change your oil twice yearly even if you drive very infrequently.
